Bilingual Branch Services Representative (Universal Banker at Ames)

The primary purpose of this position is to assist Centris Federal Credit Union in our mission to be a trusted life-long financial partner. Process transactions by rotating between the teller line and member service area while promoting Credit Union products and services.

• →Provide unparalleled service to both internal and external members in accordance with the Centris Service Promises.
  • →Create and/or develop relationships with internal and external members, vendors and other parties.
  • →Process transactions on the teller line and member service area.
  • →Serve members by identifying needs, educating and recommending products or services, and performing functional duties efficiently and accurately which may include but is not limited to opening and maintenance of various accounts, originating loans, certificates, account maintenance, fraud, etc.

• Number of transactions Scope: 0-1,288 per month
• Number of members seen/serviced Scope: 30-50 per week
• Number of individual production goals Scope: 5-8 per month
• Number of team production goals Scope: 1-4 per month                       
• Number of products and services Scope: 20-50

• Technical Skills and Experience Requirement
  • Must have a High School degree or equivalent and two years post-secondary education in Business, or related work experience.
  • Must have one year experience in a financial institution.
  • Must have one year cash handling and sales experience in which sales is a primary job function.
  • Must be bilingual - Spanish.

  • Must have the ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.

• Must be able to effectively communicate with members, staff, vendors, financial institutions, and other business contacts.

• Physical Skills Requirement
  • Must be able to effectively access and interpret computer screens, documents, and reports.
  • Must be able to operate general office equipment.
  • Must be able to accurately enter data 120 keystrokes per minute.
  • Must be able to accurately key numbers 100 keystrokes per minute.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to stand for more than two hours without sitting.
• Other Requirements
  • Must report to work regularly and on time.

• Must be able to work the hours necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. 

• Must be knowledgeable in BSA and compliance requirements enforced on the credit union by state and federal law as applicable.
• Must present a professional image.
• Must be bondable.
