Service EngineerSkilled Trades & Field Services
A specialist mining OEM that designs, builds and commissions mineral processing plants is growing its Contracts and Aftermarket team. They supply Minerals Processing Equipment to mines locally and internationally. This is a hands-on technical-commercial role for an early-career engineer who wants more than a desk job. You'll be on mine sites around 70% of the time, inspecting and fixing equipment, then turning what you find into spares, service and upgrade orders. You'll be trained on the job by an experienced aftermarket team, with a company vehicle provided. Carry out site inspections, troubleshooting and service work on installed process equipment Support installations, FATs and commissioning Identify critical spares and wear-part trends during every visit, and convert them into orders Spot upgrade and retrofit opportunities before equipment fails, and build the business case for the client Issue clear, structured service reports within 48 hours of each visit Mobilise quickly to breakdowns and aim to fix issues first time Grow aftermarket revenue in your region while sticking to approved pricing Build long-term client relationships and resolve technical issues before they escalate Work safely and keep permits, toolbox talks and records in order on site. Requirements A Mechanical Trade / Diploma. Hands-on experience with site work, maintenance, service or commissioning is advantageous. Exposure to Minerals Processing Plants (ideally: thickeners, clarifiers, flotation cells, vacuum belt filters or filter presses) A genuine interest in the commercial side: quoting, spares and growing revenue. Able to travel around 70% of the time, locally and internationally Valid driver's licence and a valid passport; a European passport would be beneficial Disciplined report writing and a strong safety mindset. Benefits Salary & Benefits R450,000 to R600,000 CTC, depending on experience Company utility vehicle Phone allowance of R1,000 per month Structured on-the-job training within the Contracts and Aftermarket department Local and international site exposure across a large installed equipment base How to Apply If you're an early-career engineer with some mining or plant exposure and want to build a technical-commercial career on site rather than behind a desk, we'd like to hear from you. Submit your updated CV to be considered.
