For nearly a quarter of a century, we have been helping secure America's borders and safeguard national assets through integrated technology solutions. We develop strategies and implement solutions that increase safety and security, save time, decrease cost, and improve outcomes. We are also committed to being a good corporate citizen and helping improve the communities in which we live and work by partnering with community organizations and volunteering. A right-sized organization, we are big enough to protect the perimeter of the country, yet small enough to rapidly respond to customer needs.

Responsibilities

~1 min read

The Field Technology Specialist installs, configures, tests, troubleshoots, and repairs computer, network, and low-voltage physical security systems so sites stay operational and compliant.

Key responsibilities include installing and supporting cameras, card readers, control panels, power supplies, biometrics, and locking hardware; building and troubleshooting low-voltage infrastructure and cabling; configuring and repairing PCs (including Windows OS setup, imaging, drivers, and hardening); interpreting schematics, wire diagrams, blueprints, and CAD drawings; completing QA/QC checks; coordinating local procurement and tracking of materials; and delivering required project documentation.

Required qualifications/skills:
- Associate degree (AAS preferred) or equivalent combination of certifications and experience
- 3+ years of relevant installation/computer experience; IP camera experience preferred
- Ability to read work orders, manuals, and technical drawings; strong written/verbal communication
- Knowledge of basic electrical/low-voltage theory and test equipment; basic networking (OSI Layer 1-2)
- Valid driver's license; ability to travel up to 85%

Apply if you can deliver reliable field results and clear documentation.

You start from your home base by reviewing the day's work order, site constraints, and any drawings or wiring notes. In the field, you move between indoor and outdoor areas, coordinate access with the customer, and keep safety gear and tools ready as conditions change.

As the day progresses, you document what you find, capture test results, and note any changes needed to keep the installation aligned with plans. You may coordinate pickup or delivery of parts locally to avoid delays. Before wrapping up, you confirm the site is ready for the next step, send status updates, and close out required paperwork. Travel is common and can reach 85%, so you plan ahead and stay organized.
