The Purchasing/Fabrication Support Assistant will be responsible for all Industrial Fabrication purchasing responsibilities for the DDEL build center. This individual will be point of contact for all DDEL process purchasing requirements. This will include working with SunSource associates & assigned buyers to facilitate purchasing needs. Additionally, this individual will manage vendor relationships for vendors as assigned as well as miscellaneous vendors to support the day-to-day production purchasing needs of the Industrial Fabrication Group. This individual will process standard order VA’s and Work Orders in accordance with process reports on a weekly basis.

The Purchasing/Fabrication Support Assistant will perform back-up purchasing duties for the FSTH build center when the FSTH assigned individual is absent and unable to perform their assigned duties.

The Purchasing/Fabrication Support Assistant will work with the SunSource Fabrication Expeditor for project material status confirmations and will send project acknowledgments.

The Purchasing/Fabrication Support Assistant will work directly with the Process leader and provide a range of support functions to facilitate project document preparation prior to project release to build. Other activities will include data collection and material expedite follow-up while projects are in process. Upon project build completion, the Purchasing/Fabrication Support Assistant will be responsible for obtaining final documents, photos, etc. to facilitate project closure and file retention.

The Purchasing/Fabrication Support Assistant will be responsible for a range of other process support activities including but not limited to inventory, environmental and company events.

Education – associate’s degree with purchasing & fluid power focus preferred but not required.
Experience – 3-5 years fluid power experience preferred.
Computer Skills – Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel, Access & Outlook) and Trend.
Certifications – None required
