JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD-137114 Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: San Antonio, Texas Coverage Period: Jan 01, 2027 – Ongoing Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Case Mix: Pediatric emergency medicine PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, or Pediatrics Certifications: PALS, ATLS required Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine, Pediatric Emergency Medicine, or Pediatrics required; for Pediatrics track, minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Pediatric Emergency Medicine working at least 120 hours per month DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide emergency medical care to pediatric patients across three CHRISTUS emergency centers in San Antonio (Stone Oak, Westover Hills, Alon) Work under shared privileges – credentialing at one location allows coverage at all three facilities Complete first three patient care shifts proctored by a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship-trained physician Maintain active board certification and required certifications (PALS, ATLS) Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality pediatric emergency services
