Field Service Technician

OpEx Service, LLC supports manufacturers across the United States by installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery used in the metal fabrication industry.

Our technicians work with a variety of equipment, including CNC machines, laser cutting systems, automation equipment, and other manufacturing technologies.

We're looking for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy solving problems, working with their hands, and helping customers keep their equipment running.

Candidates with approximately 3–5+ years of relevant experience in metal fabrication, manufacturing, industrial maintenance, or equipment service.

Candidates with 8+ years of relevant experience who demonstrate advanced troubleshooting skills, technical independence, and the ability to resolve complex equipment issues.

Candidates with transferable technical experience who do not meet these experience guidelines may also be considered based on their qualifications and mechanical aptitude.

This is a field-based position requiring up to 100% travel throughout the United States, including frequent overnight stays and occasional weekend assignments.

Candidates must live near a major airport or in a location that reasonably supports frequent travel.

The position involves working in active manufacturing facilities and industrial environments.

Candidates must be comfortable working around industrial machinery, using hand and power tools, and performing physical tasks such as standing, bending, kneeling, climbing, and lifting materials weighing up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

We want to understand both your technical experience and your ability to solve mechanical problems.

All candidates advancing through the selection process will be required to complete a mechanical aptitude assessment.

This assessment helps us evaluate mechanical reasoning, troubleshooting ability, and problem-solving skills relevant to the position.

You do not need experience with every type of equipment we service to be considered.
