The role is accountable for accelerating the identification, development, execution, and realization of productivity initiatives that deliver measurable improvements in cost, operational performance, service, capacity, and margin. This position provides leadership to Transformation Managers and analysts supporting the Productivity portfolio and acts as the central integrator across workstreams, Finance, ePMO, functional leaders, and initiative owners. The Director ensures that priorities are clearly defined, initiatives are execution-ready, dependencies and capacity constraints are surfaced, and performance risks are addressed before value is compromised. The role combines strategic thinking, operational and financial acumen, portfolio governance, data-driven problem solving, and people leadership. Success requires the ability to move teams from reporting issues to owning actions, decisions, milestones, and measurable outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Productivity Strategy and Portfolio Leadership Partner with senior functional and workstream leaders to translate enterprise productivity priorities into actionable transformation roadmaps and value delivery plans. Oversee the transformation portfolio across Manufacturing, Logistics, and Procurement, ensuring alignment with enterprise financial objectives, the Bankable Plan, operational priorities, and longer-term productivity ambitions. Maintain a clear understanding of the highest-value initiatives, key drivers of portfolio performance, critical dependencies, and initiatives at risk. Lead enterprise-level gap analyses to identify cost, capacity, service, process, technology, and organizational opportunities. Facilitate ideation and opportunity-development sessions to build a sustainable pipeline of productivity initiatives. Challenge teams to identify acceleration opportunities, alternative solutions, and additional sources of value. Support integrated sequencing across productivity and growth portfolios by identifying resource conflicts, operational dependencies, technology requirements, capital needs, and timing constraints. Value Delivery and Execution Discipline Drive initiatives from opportunity identification and business-case development through implementation, stabilization, and value realization. Ensure initiatives have clearly defined scope, accountable owners, measurable value, realistic milestones, committed resources, dependencies, and decision requirements. Partner with Finance and initiative owners to validate assumptions, forecasts, actual performance, value timing, and risks to delivery. Initiative and Data Governance Establish clear standards for initiative hygiene, including accurate L-gate status, current ownership, milestone health, forecast timing, financial assumptions, and value realization. Ensure Transformation Managers and initiative owners understand the portfolio data and can explain changes, inconsistencies, and implications. Identify recurring data-quality, process, or capability gaps and implement sustainable corrective actions. Partner with Finance, FPO, and functional teams to improve reporting consistency, dashboard usability, and portfolio transparency. Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop Transformation Managers and analysts supporting the Productivity workstreams. Set clear objectives, performance expectations, development plans, and accountability standards. Allocate team capacity based on enterprise priorities, portfolio risk, initiative complexity, and value-delivery requirements. Ensure team members develop sufficient functional knowledge to challenge assumptions and serve as credible strategic partners. Create a high-performance culture grounded in ownership, collaboration, transparency, disciplined execution, continuous improvement, and professional growth. Build team depth and documented ways of working to reduce dependency on individual historical knowledge. Promote cross-training and knowledge transfer across productivity workstreams. Leadership Competencies: Adapts approach and attitude in real time, according to the changing demands of different situations. Creates a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives. Holds self and others accountable to meet commitments. Makes sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems. Education and Work History: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 10+ years of experience in transformation, operations, strategy, consulting, continuous improvement, supply chain, program leadership, or a related field. 5+ years of people-leadership experience, including responsibility for managers, analysts, or cross-functional transformation teams. Demonstrated experience leading large-scale productivity, operational improvement, or enterprise transformation programs with measurable financial impact. Strong understanding of financial statements, operational performance drivers, business-case development, forecasting, and value realization. Experience managing complex portfolios involving multiple functions, senior stakeholders, dependencies, and competing resource requirements. Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and functional teams without relying on direct authority. Experience developing teams and building transformation capabilities within a complex matrix organization. Experience with transformation portfolio or initiative-management platforms is preferred.
