JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD-137200 Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Osage Beach, Missouri Coverage Period: Oct 30, 2026 – Ongoing Shift Schedule: Night Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 99 patients per day Case Mix: Medium acuity, consistent with EM procedures FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 35 ED Beds Trauma Level: Level III EMR System: Meditech with Dragon Specialty Backup Available: ICU, Stepdown, Level II Nursery, Stroke Center Support Staff Available: APPs (Advanced Practice Providers) PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM) preferred; ABIM or ABFM with EM experience considered Licenses: Active Missouri Medical License or ability to obtain Certifications: ATLS, BLS, PALS required Experience: Prior Emergency Medicine experience required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide nocturnist coverage at Lake Regional Health System’s 35-bed Emergency Department with 36,000 annual visits. Manage patients with medium acuity in a Level III Trauma Center. Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) during 12-hour shifts. Perform emergency procedures including intubation, central line placement, laceration repair, and conscious sedation. Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR with Dragon.
