We are looking for a Technical Product Owner to lead the technology products supporting warehousing and material flow within our factories. This includes the systems and processes that enable raw-material receipt, warehouse operations, material staging and replenishment to manufacturing lines, receipt of finished goods and movement to distribution centres.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Business Partner for Manufacturing, you will connect operational priorities with technology strategy and delivery. You will take technical ownership of the relevant application landscape, shape platform capabilities, establish roadmap priorities and lead products through implementation and their ongoing lifecycle.
This is a senior technology leadership role requiring strong product judgement, manufacturing knowledge and the ability to influence senior leaders across the business and GTS. The role may include direct people leadership or leadership through clearly defined outcomes and performance measures.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Translate manufacturing needs and business outcomes into a clear technical product strategy, roadmap and prioritized delivery plan.
- Own the technology direction and product capabilities supporting factory warehouse operations and material movement.
- Define the end-to-end technology scope across goods receipt, put-away, storage, inventory movements, material staging, line-side replenishment, finished-goods receipt and outbound warehouse movement.
- Assess competing requirements according to their operational value, including their potential to reduce lead times, improve warehouse utilization and support more efficient material flow.
- Develop scalable capabilities that can be introduced at one manufacturing site and subsequently adopted across the wider global network.
- Lead the evaluation and selection of warehouse applications, platforms and automation technologies.
- Support RFI and RFP activities through vendor assessments, solution demonstrations, technical due diligence, fit-gap analysis and integration reviews.
- Evaluate both the technology platform and the implementation partner needed to deliver the solution successfully.
- Make informed decisions across configuration, extension and integration, maximizing standard platform capabilities while controlling unnecessary customization and technical debt.
- Establish governance for product priorities and determine which requirements deliver the greatest business value.
- Define global standards and reusable capabilities that can operate across Resmed’s manufacturing network.
- Set clear product guardrails and guide significant warehouse and material flow design decisions.
- Work with Business Product Owners, manufacturing stakeholders, architects, business analysts, vendors and system integration partners to create scalable and supportable solutions.
- Enable justified local variation without compromising global standards or long-term product sustainability.
- Convert business and user requirements into a structured technical backlog, product capabilities and a practical delivery sequence.
- Prioritize requirements across WMS, WCS, ERP integrations, automation, security, non-functional needs, technical enablers and release dependencies.
- Guide key decisions, risks, dependencies and trade-offs throughout design, implementation, validation, deployment and ongoing support.
- Hold delivery teams, vendors and system integration partners accountable for quality and long-term supportability.
- Partner with quality, regulatory and validation teams to ensure solutions meet relevant quality gates, traceability, data integrity, audit and compliance requirements.
- Establish clear business outcomes, adoption objectives and measures of success with Business Product Owners.
- Ensure product priorities are informed by the value delivered to manufacturing and material flow operations.
- Monitor adoption and product performance, using operational insights to guide roadmap decisions and continuous improvement.
- Promote outcomes such as shorter material lead times, improved warehouse utilization and more efficient movement of materials across the factory.
- Lead the technology product across implementation, deployment, adoption and its ongoing operational lifecycle.
- Own release and upgrade planning, platform health, technical debt, support strategy and vendor roadmap alignment.
- Manage strategic relationships with warehouse technology, automation and implementation partners.
- Lead technical escalations and ensure that product decisions remain aligned with Resmed’s long-term manufacturing technology strategy.
- Contribute to Resmed’s digital transformation by identifying opportunities to modernize warehousing and material flow.

- Influence senior business and GTS leaders on roadmap priorities, investment proposals and product trade-offs.
- Provide clear leadership across business, product, architecture, delivery, vendor and system integrator teams.
- Build a collaborative and accountable product culture focused on business value, standardization, quality and continuous improvement.
- At least 10 years of experience delivering medium-to-large enterprise technology solutions across product ownership, programme leadership, business analysis, requirements, solution design or technical delivery.
- Strong experience implementing or managing enterprise applications or technology platforms within a manufacturing environment.
- A sound understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes, including how materials move through warehouse and production environments.
- The ability to translate operational requirements into platform capabilities, product roadmaps, prioritized backlogs and sequenced delivery plans.
- Experience determining business value and prioritizing investments according to operational impact, technical feasibility, risk and long-term supportability.
- An understanding of how ERP and warehouse management platforms interact within a manufacturing technology landscape. Experience may be gained with Oracle, SAP or an equivalent enterprise platform.
- Experience leading products or platforms through implementation, validation, deployment and ongoing lifecycle management.
- Strong stakeholder leadership, with the credibility to shape proposals and influence senior business and technology leaders.
