Manual Machinist III - 2nd Shift/$10k sign-on bonus

Entegris is currently seeking a Manual Machinist III to join our Advanced Purity Solutions Division in San Luis Obispo, CA.  

The Manual Machinist III will be responsible for performing tasks related to producing components used in our Ultra High Purity Systems. Advanced Knowledge of using Manual engine lathes (Dial, Victor, Sharp or similar Manual Lathes), Manual vertical milling machines (Bridgeport, Lagun or similar Manual Mills), belt and disk sanders, shears, drill press, press brake, automatic band saws and tube facing tools. This role will be responsible for demonstrating proper inspection techniques to ensure accuracy to engineering specifications.

• →Works from instructions, drawings, and lists of various tube diameters and lengths with supervision.
• →Use SAP to print drawings and work instructions.
• →Use manual engine lathes by turning, boring, facing, drilling, cut-off material to produce components.
• →Use manual milling machines by facing, slotting, drilling, simple angle cuts to produce components.
• →Use Calipers, OD and ID Micrometers, telescoping gauges, radius gauges.
• →Grind basic tool bits and manually sharpen drills.
• →Follow engineering specifications to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.
• →Performs routine, repetitive operations and processes to produce quality and accurate products in a timely manner.
• →Complete 6S responsibilities (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, safety).
• →Maintain a safe and clean work environment and maintain or increase On-Time Shipments.
• →Ability to work safely and recognize the safety of others.
• →Provide accuracy and consistency in work performance.
• →Demonstrate proper measuring techniques, tool use, care, and quality standards.
• →Work with a team as well as independently when needed.
• →Any other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED. 
• 5-10 years’ experience in manual machining. 
• Ability to learn to navigate through our ERP system to find, drawings and instructions. 
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50lbs daily. 
• Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time. 
• Focus on attention to detail to drive plant safety and product quality. 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment. 
• Ability to learn how to handle material responsibly. 
• Dependability and flexibility to work overtime and weekends to support business needs.

• Compensation: $35-38 hourly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
• 10% shift differential for all hours worked on 2nd shit.
• $10k sign-on bonus (half paid after 90 days, half paid after 180 days).
