Position Duties:
- Manage purchase orders, including creation, tracking, vendor follow-up, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate vendor communications, order confirmations, delivery schedules, and product samples.
- Support new product setup, item maintenance, and pricing accuracy across systems.
- Assist with pricing strategy, promotional setup, and campaign execution.
- Manage vendor relationships and finished goods sourcing decisions.
- Oversee product lifecycle activities, including product launches, markdowns, and discontinuations.
- Partner with Marketing and Visual Merchandising to support promotions, signage, and product placement.
- Participate in seasonal planning, inventory forecasting, and demand review discussions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, merchandising, or related field preferred
- 1-2+ years of experience in buying support, retail merchandising, or related analytical/administrative role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in specialty retail, gift, home décor, or seasonal retail environments preferred
- Experience with NetSuite or similar merchandising/inventory systems preferred
- Interest in pursuing a Category Merchant/Manager career path preferred
- Ability to work in an office and retail store environment
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work additional hours during peak seasonal periods as needed
