Physical Therapy Assistant HHC

Delivers safe and competent physical therapy as ordered by a physician. Implements specific physician orders according to the principles and practices of physical therapy as directed by a physical therapist. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary home care treatment team.

Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant Program with at least one (1) year experience post program graduation.

Preferred: Two (2) years treating patients in an acute care, rehabilitative or home care setting.

• Current Licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Florida. Must possess a State of Florida Class “E” Driver’s License. Must have a current Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an accredited instructor from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Behavioral Criteria: Qualified candidates must provide a seven (7) year driving record from the Department of Motor Vehicles with no more than six (6) points and no indication of poor driving habits. The qualified candidate must be 21 years of age.
• Note:  Use of personal vehicles is required.  It is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to maintain adequate insurance coverage for their personal vehicle used in conjunction with their duties as an employee.  TMH will reimburse the business use of a personal vehicle in accordance with procedures defined by the Internal Revenue Service.
