Group B40 Finance Reporting Manager (GETB)

To be part of the dynamic IFRS17/IFRS4 cross-disciplinary reporting team where you will support and participate IFRS17/IFRS4 BAU activities and on-going Group Finance projects. You will report to GETB’s Finance Reporting lead and support the business with focus on MySalam related reporting. You will be expected to analyze and optimize financial processes, as well as to develop and implement automated solutions.

• Leverage on tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources to support IFRS 17/IFRS4 financial closings, reporting (especially RBCT/TOSS) and reconciliations.
• Perform and support the preparation of P&L and B&S for management reporting including explanation and attend to queries from Stakeholders
• Work alongside stakeholders in preparing the Analysis of Change– Gross and Retakaful.
• Perform and support the preparation of Group reporting pack preparation for IFRS17 related forms
• Perform and support the preparation of IFRS17 disclosure report for financial statement
• Involve in the monthly closing process for insurance/takaful entities in Malaysia and audit related work
• Involve in the analysis of business results and outputs from the IFRS 17 reporting systems
• Develop and implement financial automation processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual tasks as well as analyze existing financial processes to identify areas for improvement and optimization, and create solutions to address those inefficiencies.
• Support ad-hoc activities including ability to drive projects to completion.

• Tertiary – Bachelor in Statistics/ Mathematic/ Actuarial Studies / Finance & Accounting
• Currently undertaking professional certification in either the actuarial or finance associations recognized by BNM 
• At least 5 years of working experience, preferably in the insurance/takaful industry
• Good knowledge of local/IFRS reporting standards
• A good problem solver and have excellent communication skills.
• Able to work independently and under pressure to meet project timelines.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills, meticulous and detailed
• Strong team player with good communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with programming languages, such as Python or Java, and financial software
