Technician

Part-Time Cleanup Technician — $20/Hour
Steri-Clean Nebraska & South Dakota | Waterloo, NE

We’re looking for a dependable, hardworking person to join our team. No prior experience is required—we will train the right person.

Our work includes hoarding cleanup, odor removal, rodent contamination cleanup, and biohazard remediation, including unattended death and suicide cleanup. We help people through difficult situations, so compassion, discretion, and respect are essential.

Job responsibilities

Clean and disinfect affected areas using company procedures.
Sort, move, and remove contents, debris, and affected materials.
Safely operate cleaning equipment and wear required protective equipment.
Help maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles.
Follow safety instructions and work professionally with clients and teammates.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license.
Reliable transportation to our Waterloo location.
Dependability, punctuality, and clear communication.
Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Willingness to wear required protective equipment and complete job-specific training.
Comfort working around strong odors, contaminated environments, and sensitive situations.
Availability for a variable part-time schedule based on job demand.

Preferred, but not required

Experience in cleaning, restoration, construction, maintenance, or other hands-on work. Previous OSHA, bloodborne pathogen, HAZWOPER, or respirator training is helpful.
