Warehouse Assistant

• $20.00/hr base salary 
• Onsite at our Chicago, IL Warehouse M-F 8:00am-5:00pm 
• TEMPORARY role November 1- November 30, 2026

No two days in our warehouse look the same — and that’s exactly how we like it.

• →Pulls and distributes materials, artifacts, or other stock items to fill orders.
• →Prepares and packages goods for shipping.
• →Maintains accurate inventory records using inventory software.
• →Receives goods and enters all items into inventory.
• →Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
• →Loads trucks with goods, makes deliveries, and picks up material from local vendors.
• →Keeps the warehouse clean and organized.
• →Assists carpenters and painters with prepping material for finishing.
• →Other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to work overtime when needed.
• Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate, and key in data.
• Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.
• Ability to stand/walk for 9-10 hours per day and sit for 1-2 hours per day.
• Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to communicate through telephone, e-mail and in-person communications.

• Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred.
• Experience operating a forklift required.
• Must represent The Potbelly Way.
• Minimum high school degree.
• Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Must be very neat and organized.
• Must be familiar with and comfortable with using basic hand and power tools.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to interact with all levels of a company.
• Must demonstrate leadership behaviors and values that align with Potbelly.
