Heavy Equipment OperatorSkilled Trades & Field Services

SpaceX was founded under the belief that a future where humanity is out exploring the stars is fundamentally more exciting than one where we are not. Today SpaceX is actively developing the technologies to make this possible, with the ultimate goal of enabling human life on Mars.

The Heavy Equipment Operator is a skilled operator responsible for the safe, efficient operation of heavy earthmoving and material-handling equipment that supports Starship production, site development, and infrastructure work. This role runs excavators, loaders, dozers, graders, backhoes, and related machines to move materials, shape grades, and position components while production continues around the work. Operators work directly with engineers and technicians to inspect equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and catch issues before they stop the job. Success depends on precise control, strict safety compliance, and the ability to adapt as priorities change on a fast-moving site.
