Patient Care Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant Overflow Unit (4 South) Full Time-Flexible Hours

• →Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of the technology systems necessary for patient data collection into EMR.
• →Demonstrates the ability to follow plan of care to include performing treatments and procedures competently/independently under direction of RN. This may include the following procedures dependent upon unit/facility competency requirements vital signs, ice application, compresses, EKGs, drawing blood, specimen collection, etc.
• →Accurately completes all required clinical and quality documentation consistently per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• →Demonstrates accountability for ensuring availability of resources (equipment, instruments, supplies) necessary to ensure positive patient outcomes. Maintains clean, safe and orderly work/patient environment by cleaning work stations/areas, equipment; stocking supplies; placing equipment in proper storage areas.
• →Demonstrates the ability to be able to take direction from the charge nurse to help admit, discharge, or transfer patients in a timely and efficient manner.

• High School Diploma or GED, (Preferred)

• 1 year Prior health care experience in hospital setting (Preferred)

• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required) and
• Certified Nurse Aid (CNA) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) In lieu of CNA certification, will accept EMT-B (Basic) from the Virginia Department of Health Professions or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians, or Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA), or Medical Assistant Program Graduate, or Currently enrolled in LPN or RN diploma or degree program with at least 80 clinical hours completed.
