Ultrasonographer

• →Uses imaging equipment and soundwaves to form images for diagnosis. Produces quality images following appropriate protocols and procedures. Provides and maintains clinical documentation per scope of practice.
• →Educates patients/families regarding the procedure to be performed. Explains the procedure and independently performs ultrasound exams on patients following established protocols.
• →Evaluates images for quality. Interprets what image is captured. Presents images and preliminary findings to the physician.
• →Maintains the ultrasound equipment and sterilizes the room. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Troubleshoots and ensures equipment functionality.
• →Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and material to ensure non-interruption of services.
• →Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards. Follows RHS policies and procedures. Reports variances.

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) RDMS(OB, AB, Breast, or NIV) Upon Hire(Required) or
• Radiologic Technologists - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Sonography (S) Upon Hire(Required) or
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) CCI (RCS, RCIS, or RVS) Upon Hire(Required) or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) RVT or RDCS Upon Hire(Required) and
• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required)
