Nurse Extern - Labor Pool - Med Surg

• →Provides personal care of patients and their environment (to include those with special precautions. Performs specified functions and tasks based on validated competency by licensed nurse to include but not limited to: simple wound care, EKGs, peripheral INT Removal and basic phlebotomy.
• →Perform activities of daily living including hygiene, nutrition, and comfort activities under the direct supervision and guidance of the RN Preceptor. Maintains cleanliness and neatness of the patients' and unit's environment. Performs approved treatments and procedures accurately and safely.
• →Observes, gathers, and reports pertinent patient information including intake and output, daily weights, vital signs, pulse oximetry, and blood glucose.
• →Maintains a safe environment by following hospital and unit policies and procedures.

• , Currently enrolled in RN diploma/degree program and in final year (Required) and
• High School Diploma or GED, (Required)

• 1 year Patient care experience (Preferred)

• CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire(Required)
