Perioperative nurses have the opportunity to care for patients from the following surgical specialties; Bariatric, Cardiothoracic, Colorectal, ENT, General Surgery, Gynecology, Neurology, OMFS, Orthopedic, Plastics, Urology, and Vascular.

Complete learning experiences in our pre-operative, operative, and recovery units
This immersive program provides hands-on training alongside an experienced nurse preceptor.
Participate in weekly discussions, simulations, or educational meetings
At RGH : At completion of the program, the licensed RN will be hired full-time into an operating room position.

Requirements

Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing
Registered Nurse license in New York State
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

AS: Nursing (Required)
