Machine Operator

The Machine Operator will be working at our mulch and soil production plant in Orrville, OH, and will be responsible for operating our bagging lines.

• →Operate and maintain mulch and soil bagging lines.
• →Operate a forklift to transport materials.
• →Actively maintain good housekeeping standards in their assigned area.
• →Maintain and clean machines before and after each shift.
• →Perform routine safety and quality checks.
• →Solve daily operations problems with limited supervision.
• →Maintain accurate records of raw materials, samples & equipment operations.
• →Support all plant operations, potentially including but not limited to operating a front-end loader for cutting sphagnum bales and pushing up bulk piles, operating a loader for making bulk mixes and loading hoppers, operating a dozer for yard maintenance, and hand packing cases on the small pack line.
• →All other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of one plus years of production plant experience is preferred.
• Able to identify all materials used, detail oriented, follow safe practices and procedures, ability to read English and or follow directions
• Able to work in a dusty environment, hot/cold/ rainy weather, lift 50 pounds, and be able to climb ladders and work on their feet for the entire day.
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime including weekends and holidays.
