Registered Nurse - Same Day Surgery

Sentara RMH Medical Center is currently seeking a part-time Registered Nurse to join our Same Day Surgery team. Sign-on bonus up to $7,500 for qualifying candidates.

• The scheduled shift requirements are as follows:
  • Three 8-hour shifts per week
  • Shifts will primarily be 5:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. or 6:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
  • Approximately 2–3 times per six-week schedule, a later shift will be required, either 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. or 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.

Associates or Bachelor’s  Degree – Nursing (Required)

Registered Nurse (Required)

Previous acute care experience (preferred).

The Registered Nurse(RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
