Finance Business Partner (Central & Eastern Europe)
Quick Summary
Life. Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.
As Finance Business Partner CEE, you will be part of the cross functional leadership team, using your financial expertise and commercial judgement to help shape strategy, support business expansion and drive sustainable performance.
This is about much more than reporting the numbers. You will turn financial and commercial information into clear, forward looking insight, helping leaders understand where to invest, where to focus and where a different course of action is needed. You will constructively challenge assumptions, assess commercial opportunities and risks and help ensure resources are directed towards strategic priorities.
You will work across multiple stakeholders and markets, balancing competing demands while maintaining productive relationships. At times, that means being confident enough to say no constructively, pushing back when priorities do not align and keeping attention on the activities that deliver the greatest value.
You will also support business planning and forecasting, provide insight across areas including pricing, customer and portfolio profitability, sales force effectiveness and commercial risk, and help drive innovation, change and greater efficiency across the organisation.
You will bring the presence and judgement to operate as a senior commercial finance partner. Success means being able to work independently under pressure, prioritise effectively when demands compete and influence commercial leaders while continuing to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Significant Commercial Finance Business Partnering experience, with Finance Director level capability or equivalent experience and the confidence to provide constructive challenge to senior commercial stakeholders.
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with experience operating across multiple stakeholders and markets and the judgement to push back appropriately while maintaining positive relationships.
- Excellent prioritisation and decision making skills, with the assertiveness to manage conflicting demands, focus on the highest value activity and operate independently under pressure.
- Strong financial and analytical capability, ideally supported by a Finance degree. Healthcare or life sciences experience is preferable but not mandatory, and experience of Go to Market transformation would be an advantage.
