Tired of sitting at docks waiting on someone to load or unload? On this container run, the freight is no-touch, so you spend your day driving and getting paid for it.
Most drivers bring home $1,300 to $1,500 a week, roughly $67,600 to $78,000 a year, paid weekly. Pay comes from mileage and short-haul rates, and you can add to it with bonuses for safety, attendance and uploading your paperwork on time.
You'll work either Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday, with morning start times. Weekend work is part of the job, and drivers are expected to work holidays, so this fits best if you're flexible.
