Plasterer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Plasterer / External Wall Insulation (EWI) Installer to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to install, finish, and make good energy-efficient External Wall Insulation (EWI) systems on both residential and commercial projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that all insulation boards are perfectly level and secure, applying high-quality modern render systems, and delivering a flawless, weather-resistant finish.

Key Responsibilities

· System Installation: Fit and secure starter tracks, insulation boards (EPS/Phenolic), and mechanical fixings accurately according to manufacturer technical guidelines and building regulations.

· Surface Preparation: Check, clean, and prepare existing external wall surfaces, including removing old render, applying primers, and setting up corner beads, mesh trim, and expansion joints.

· Basecoat & Mesh Application: Mix and apply approved basecoats evenly across insulation systems, embedding reinforcing fiberglass mesh to prevent cracking.

· Architectural Detailing: Carry out meticulous detailing work around window and door reveals, verges, external pipework, vents, and architectural sills to preserve thermal integrity and prevent water ingress.

· Final Rendering & Finishing: Apply modern external render systems (e.g., silicone, acrylic, or mineral thin-coat renders) manually or via spray-plastering techniques to achieve a uniform, durable, and highly weather-resistant texture.

· Quality & Compliance: Ensure all work meets strict energy upgrade standards (e.g., SEAI compliance rules for energy retrofits) and matches architectural specifications.

· Health & Safety: Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe working site, strictly adhering to working at heights protocols and general construction safety standards.
