Responsibilities:

General Purpose: Under the direction of leadership, is accountable for provision of competent direct patient care based on established standards. Contributes to unit activities and supports enhancement of the care delivery system at the unit level. Supports peers in the delivery of patient care services and assumes an expanded role which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities.

FT, PT, per-diem positions available

Provide general support for the outpatient Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism team. Provide nursing expertise in the delivery of care to a specialized patient population. Provide clinical and administrative support for the providers in the Division of Endocrinology. Care delivery: triage & respond to phone calls; perform dynamic endocrine test; teach insulin administration & blood glucose monitoring; teach patients how to do IM and subcutaneous injections and download data and trouble shoot devices. Required Skills: Must have a NYS nursing license; tasking/prioritizing/medical care coordination
