As a Builder Product II, you will help transform residential construction software through innovative AI-native product development and agentic technologies. You will focus on modernizing ERP solutions for residential home builders, translating complex construction workflows into precise, executable missions for product and engineering teams. Working at the intersection of Product Management, AI, Engineering, and UX Research, you will drive the development of intelligent capabilities that simplify estimating, purchasing, scheduling, and job costing. You will leverage large language models, autonomous agent frameworks, and data-driven insights to accelerate discovery, improve prioritization, and deliver measurable customer value. A key part of your mission will be improving collaboration between home builders and building material dealers through more connected and automated workflows. This is an opportunity to challenge traditional product management practices, work alongside AI-focused specialists, and shape the future of enterprise software in a collaborative, innovation-driven environment.
Define and develop structured mission specifications that replace traditional product requirements documents, clearly outlining agent objectives, system behaviors, tool constraints, success criteria, evaluation methods, and failure conditions.
Collaborate with Industry Product Managers and Value Stream Product Managers to align product initiatives with strategic objectives, customer requirements, and key performance indicators.
Translate complex residential construction and ERP business processes into structured system prompts, agent instructions, behavioral constraints, and executable technical specifications.
Work with subject matter experts to understand residential construction workflows, including estimating, purchasing, scheduling, job costing, and builder-dealer interactions, translating their expertise into reliable AI-driven capabilities.
Partner with UX Research teams to define effective agentic user experiences, including conversational behavior, tone, escalation paths, failure handling, and generative user interface requirements.
Collaborate with QA Builders to establish evaluation frameworks, datasets, measurable acceptance criteria, and ground-truth definitions that assess AI-generated outputs against real construction and ERP business logic.
Conduct rapid AI-assisted prototyping by developing and testing prompt chains and agent workflows to validate product concepts before committing development resources.
Leverage AI to analyze customer research, support tickets, product usage telemetry, interview transcripts, and other business signals to identify opportunities and prioritize product improvements.
Own and continuously optimize the product modernization backlog, using customer impact, usage data, support volume, codebase complexity, and strategic objectives to determine which legacy capabilities should be modernized.
Define agent goals, behavioral requirements, and technical constraints that enable engineering teams to execute development missions efficiently and with minimal ambiguity.
Identify opportunities to streamline communication and data exchange between residential builders and building material dealers, replacing manual processes such as phone calls and spreadsheets with connected digital workflows.
Support the transformation of legacy ERP functionality into modern, intelligent, and automated product capabilities that improve operational efficiency and customer experiences.
Establish measurable testing and validation processes to ensure agentic solutions meet requirements for accuracy, reliability, and operational safety.
Work closely with Product, Engineering, QA, and UX Research teams to accelerate delivery, improve collaboration, and ensure that product enhancements generate meaningful customer value.
