Product ManagementProduct Manager

As a Builder Product Manager, you will help redefine how enterprise software is designed, developed, and modernized through AI-native and agentic technologies. You will focus on developing innovative product capabilities for the Lumber and Building Materials (LBM) industry, translating complex business workflows into precise, executable missions for development teams. Working at the intersection of Product Management, AI, Engineering, and UX Research, you will transform traditional ERP processes into intelligent, automated experiences. You will leverage large language models, agent frameworks, and data-driven insights to accelerate product discovery, improve prioritization, and deliver measurable customer value. Your work will directly influence how independent lumberyards, building material dealers, and hardware retailers manage their operations. This is an opportunity to join a forward-thinking product team that values experimentation, technical rigor, autonomy, and continuous innovation.

  • Define and develop structured mission specifications that replace traditional product requirements documents, clearly outlining agent objectives, system behaviors, tool constraints, success criteria, evaluation methods, and failure conditions.
  • Collaborate with Industry Product Managers and Value Stream Product Managers to align product initiatives with strategic objectives, customer needs, and key performance indicators.
  • Translate complex ERP business processes and industry-specific requirements into structured system prompts, agent instructions, behavioral constraints, and executable specifications.
  • Interview subject matter experts and extract critical business knowledge, including complex operational rules, accounting requirements, and industry-specific workflows, to ensure AI agents operate accurately and reliably.
  • Partner with UX Research teams to define agentic user experiences, including conversational behavior, tone, escalation paths, failure handling, and generative user interface requirements.
  • Collaborate with QA Builders to establish evaluation frameworks, datasets, measurable acceptance criteria, and ground-truth definitions that assess AI-generated outputs against real business logic.
  • Conduct rapid AI-assisted prototyping by developing and testing prompt chains and agent workflows to validate concepts before committing development resources.
  • Leverage AI to analyze user research, customer support tickets, product usage telemetry, interview transcripts, and other business signals to identify opportunities and prioritize product improvements.
  • Own and continuously optimize the product modernization backlog, using data-driven insights, codebase complexity, customer impact, and strategic priorities to determine which legacy capabilities should be addressed next.
  • Define and communicate agent goals, expected behaviors, and technical requirements to development teams, enabling efficient execution with minimal ambiguity.
  • Support the transformation of legacy ERP workflows into modern, intelligent, and automated product capabilities that improve operational efficiency and customer experiences.
  • Evaluate agent performance through measurable testing and validation processes, ensuring solutions meet reliability, accuracy, and safety expectations before deployment.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary product and technical teams to accelerate delivery, continuously improve workflows, and ensure that new capabilities generate meaningful customer value.

  • Demonstrated experience in Product Management, AI product development, technical product ownership, business analysis, or a related role involving complex software products and workflows.
  • Strong understanding of AI-native product development, including practical experience using Large Language Models (LLMs) to support product discovery, requirements definition, prioritization, and workflow automation.
  • Experience translating complex business requirements into structured, testable specifications, system prompts, agent instructions, and measurable acceptance criteria.
  • Familiarity with agentic AI concepts and autonomous agent architectures, including an understanding of LangChain and LangGraph, particularly state machines, agent orchestration, and behavioral constraints.
  • Ability to distinguish between AI demonstrations and production-ready agentic solutions, with a strong focus on reliability, safety, measurable performance, and operational correctness.
  • Understanding of enterprise software and ERP systems, ideally with familiarity with operational workflows involving inventory management, accounting, point of sale, special orders, delivery, or contractor accounts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex business logic and translate domain expertise into practical technical solutions.
  • Experience using AI tools to synthesize user research, analyze customer feedback, review support data, and identify product opportunities.
  • Familiarity with Python for prompt scripting and evaluation tooling, as well as SQL for querying and understanding ERP data.
  • Knowledge of OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, LangChain, LangGraph, and DSPy or comparable frameworks for agent development and programmatic evaluation.
  • Familiarity with GitHub for specification versioning and collaboration, as well as Weights & Biases or similar platforms for model evaluation, observability, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience defining evaluation datasets, testing methodologies, ground-truth standards, and quantitative quality measures for AI-generated outputs.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Engineers, QA specialists, UX Researchers, and subject matter experts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical and business concepts clearly and translate them into actionable development missions.
  • A proactive, independent, and experimentation-driven mindset, with a willingness to challenge traditional product management practices and continuously improve established processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to technical rigor, ensuring that AI-powered capabilities are validated against real-world requirements rather than assumptions.
  • Genuine curiosity about enterprise software, business operations, and the opportunities AI creates to modernize complex legacy systems.
