CIB SOLUTIONS DEVELOPMENT PRINCIPAL MANAGER I

Key Responsibilities

• Transformation: Drive major transformation initiatives and business model evolution (including OTD, operational efficiency, and AI/digital innovation) across products and geographies for greater scale, governing business value realization through rigorous high-level KPI tracking.
• Strategy & Execution: Lead the definition, execution, and tracking of strategic projects, ensuring alignment with BBVA Group and RCP goals. Design Go-To-Market (GTM) plans and commercial models to accelerate product adoption and cross-border growth across Asia.
• Leadership Support: Facilitate key decision-making for CIB regional and global leadership, spearheading C-level strategic narratives, executive presentations, and market analysis for top management committees.
• Global Coordination: Promote and orchestrate the cross-functional execution of CIB’s strategy across Business, Tech, Operations, and Risk without direct hierarchical dependence. Maintain a comprehensive view of initiatives across Global HQ, geographies, products, and client segments to help the Asian business meet its strategic and transformations goals.

CIB is a global business operating across multiple geographies, products, and client segments. Within this framework, the Asia Transformation & Acceleration Office maintains a comprehensive view of the strategic initiatives being developed across the Asian region and Global HQ, with the objective of accelerating business value realization, driving cross-border synergies, and supporting the achievement of CIB’s strategic growth goals in Asia.

What We’re Looking For

•  Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Business, Engineering, Sciences, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate degree preferred.
• Fluency in English (minimum C1; C2 preferred) and Spanish (essential for seamless coordination with Global HQ teams). 
• Proven track record (10–15+ years) in global strategy, business development, portfolio management, and product strategy within CIB or wholesale banking.
• Strong knowledge of CIB business models, international strategic governance, and deployment of advanced analytics/AI tools is a strong advantage.

• Excellent executive communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a structured, data driven approach to translate complex strategic messages into actionable plans.
• Collaborative "One Team" mindset with a strong focus on results, high performance, and continuous improvement.
• High level of motivation and ability to operate effectively and autonomously in dynamic international environments.
• Proven experience orchestrating cross-functional, multidisciplinary environments (Business, Risk, Ops, Tech), with direct exposure to senior stakeholders across geographies without direct hierarchical dependence.
• Strong ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and tight deadlines while maintaining strategic focus.
