Working Supervisor - Sault Ste. Marie Area

• →Train new hires and coach team members on safe work methods and standard procedures.
• →Handle minor troubleshooting and escalate maintenance or process issues to the right contact.
• →Complete shift paperwork, production counts, and handoff notes for the next supervisor.
• →Enforce safety rules and housekeeping standards on the floor.
• →Report attendance, performance, and discipline matters to the department manager.
• →Open the shift by reviewing production schedules and assigning work to team members.
• →Operate equipment and work on the line alongside the crew during the shift.
• →Monitor output, quality checks, and downtime, and adjust staffing as needed.

• Several years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Prior experience leading or directing the work of a small team.
• Working knowledge of production equipment and standard work instructions.
• Basic math and recordkeeping skills for production counts and shift reports.
• Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting within posted limits.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement tools.
• Familiarity with quality systems such as ISO 9001.
• Technical certificate or associate degree in a related field.
• Formal supervisory or leadership training.
• Forklift or powered industrial truck certification.
