Reporting to the SVP and CFO for Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Quality, the Director, Site Manufacturing Controller serves as the senior finance leader and strategic business partner for the Salt Lake City manufacturing site. This role provides enterprise-level financial leadership across site operations, translating manufacturing performance, capacity, productivity, quality, inventory, and capital investment drivers into clear business insights and actions. The Director advises site and functional leadership, challenges operating and investment assumptions, leads long-range financial planning, and drives sustainable improvement in manufacturing cost, working capital, and capital efficiency. The role is accountable for the integrity of site financial results, product costing, forecasting, internal controls, and decision support in alignment with company policies and applicable accounting standards. The Director leads and develops the local manufacturing controlling team and connects the Salt Lake City site with regional, global, and corporate finance stakeholders.

  1. Strategic finance leadership and business partnership: Act as the senior finance advisor to Salt Lake City site leadership and a key member of the site leadership team. Shape site strategy, operating priorities, and resource allocation by translating business and manufacturing drivers into financial implications, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.

  2. Site performance and value creation: Own the financial performance framework for the site, including profit and loss, cost of goods, manufacturing variances, productivity, yield, scrap, labor and overhead, fixed-cost absorption, inventory, and working capital. Establish performance routines, identify root causes, and hold leaders accountable for corrective actions and measurable value delivery.

  3. Long-range planning, budgeting, and forecasting: Lead the site financial planning cycle, including strategic plans, annual budgets, rolling forecasts, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analysis. Ensure plans reflect realistic assumptions for volume, mix, capacity, headcount, compensation, inflation, productivity, and supply constraints.

  4. Capital investment and portfolio governance: Provide financial leadership for major capital investments, capacity expansion, automation, digitalization, facility improvements, and cost-reduction programs. Set standards for business cases, challenge assumptions, recommend priorities, assess risk and return, and oversee post-investment benefit tracking.

  5. Product costing and inventory governance: Direct site product costing, standard cost development, inventory valuation, cycle counts, physical inventory, excess and obsolete inventory analysis, and cost improvement tracking. Partner with global finance and operations to strengthen costing accuracy and harmonize practices across the manufacturing network.

  6. Financial close, reporting, and executive communication: Oversee accurate and timely month-end and year-end close activities for the site. Deliver concise, decision-oriented reporting and executive commentary that explains results, outlook, key risks, opportunities, and required actions to site, regional, and global leaders.

  7. Controls, compliance, and audit readiness: Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with company financial policies, applicable accounting requirements, and audit standards. Lead remediation of internal and external audit findings, strengthen financial governance, and proactively address control or compliance risks.

  8. Cross-functional and global influence: Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, Human Resources, Information Systems, and Corporate Finance. Represent the Salt Lake City site in regional and global finance forums and influence standards, priorities, and decisions beyond the local organization.

  9. Transformation and continuous improvement: Sponsor and lead improvements in financial processes, management reporting, data quality, analytics, systems, and operating rhythms. Use lean thinking, automation, and standardized tools to improve speed, insight, control, and efficiency.

  10. Organization leadership and talent development: Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing site controlling team. Set clear expectations, build succession and capability plans, allocate resources, and create an inclusive culture of accountability, collaboration, sound judgment, and continuous improvement.

  11. Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.

  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
