Senior Accountant – French-Speaking | Iași, Romania

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial records, managing month-end closing activities, preparing financial statements, and maintaining compliance with local and international accounting requirements.

We are looking for an experienced accounting professional with strong analytical skills, at least three years of relevant experience, and a good command of French. The position involves extensive written communication in French and offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic international environment.

• Analyse monthly and annual trial balances and balance sheets to ensure financial accuracy
• Prepare, record, and review accounting adjustments, including provisions, impairments, and accruals, in accordance with Group policies
• Manage intercompany invoicing and ensure compliance with internal accounting procedures
• Perform month-end closing activities, reviewing expense and revenue accounts for key entities
• Prepare annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records and financial reporting
• Monitor compliance with local and international accounting standards and internal financial policies
• Ensure statutory reporting obligations and financial deadlines are met
• Identify accounting discrepancies and support their timely resolution
• Collaborate with international finance teams on accounting and reporting activities

• Minimum three years of relevant professional experience in accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• French proficiency at B1–B2 level or higher, with particularly strong written communication skills
• Basic English proficiency for communication in an international environment
• Experience in international accounting or a strong interest in developing expertise in this area
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and month-end closing processes
• Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work accurately with financial data and meet reporting deadlines
• Experience with SAP is considered an advantage but is not mandatory
• Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple accounting responsibilities
• Team-oriented mindset, openness to feedback, and adaptability to change
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with international colleagues
• Availability to work fully on-site in Iași, Romania
