Supervisor Financial Clearance

The Supervisor Financial Clearance oversees the day-to-day activities of the authorization and financial clearance department.  This position is responsible for supervising staff and workload to ensure work is performed accurately and timely.  The supervisor serves as a subject matter expert with staff to assist in resolving issues and enhancing processes.    

• →Hire, onboard, and manage the performance of assigned staff.
• →Oversee staff on a day-to-day basis including coaching, motivating, training, interviewing, hiring and corrective actions.
• →Analyze work queues and distribute work to ensure all work is performed timely and accurately.
• →Actively work accounts, obtain authorizations, as well as create estimates.
• →Perform a wide range of complete duties related to authorization and financial clearance.
• →Monitor work queues, reports, dashboards and KPIs to ensure team is meeting expectations and goals are reached or surpassed.
• →Review procedures and practices for streamlining or automation, cost savings and operational improvements.
• →Adhere to all department and organization policies and procedures as well as all state and federal laws and requirements.
• →Other duties as assigned.

• Minimum:  High school diploma or GED
• Preferred:  Associate’s degree or higher

• Minimum:  Three (3) years of experience working in patient access or similar role      
• Preferred:  Three (3) years of experience working in patient access or similar role with at least one (1) year being in a supervisory position.
