Healthcare United is seeking a BE/BC Hospitalist for a full-time opportunity in the Wallingford Area, Connecticut. Manage adults who need monitoring and treatment beyond the general medical floor, with escalation to Critical Care when needed. Overview Specialty: Hospitalist Location: Wallingford Area, Connecticut Practice Setting: Hospital Step Down and Progressive Care Unit Work Schedule: Full-time day position Support Staff / Resources: Intensivists, consultants, APPs, nursing, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and case management New Grads/Practicing: Experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply. What You Can Expect Manage admissions, daily reassessment, discharge planning, and transitions for Step Down and Progressive Care patients. Clinical needs include sepsis, arrhythmias, neurologic and metabolic disorders, gastrointestinal bleeding, and postoperative monitoring. Manage High-Flow Oxygen, Non-Invasive Ventilation, and telemetry needs within the role; recognize deterioration and arrange ICU transfer.
