About this opportunity We are looking for a Payroll/Accounting Specialist to join Ericsson Romania and support payroll delivery for Italy. As part of the Romanian Payroll Hub, you will help ensure payroll and related activities are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with Italian legislation, internal controls, and Ericsson policies. This role is well suited to someone with a solid payroll and accounting mindset who enjoys working with data, processes, and stakeholders in an international environment. What you will do * Run payroll operations for Italy in line with legal requirements, internal policies, and service levels * Calculate payroll components such as overtime, vacation balances, prorated pay, retro pay, shift differentials, pensions, insurance, flexible benefits, and labour accounting items * Support year-end tax and accounting activities, including amendments and reconciliations * Handle activities related to Italian employer taxation * Monitor accounting flows and perform related reconciliations * Validate payroll inputs and help ensure accurate payroll processing, reporting, and submissions * Contribute to SOX compliance and other payroll control activities * Provide payroll process expertise and support internal stakeholders and the external payroll provider * Work closely with colleagues in Romania and Italy on payroll delivery, transitions, and continuous improvement initiatives * Support process improvements and automation opportunities that strengthen efficiency and quality What you will bring * Experience in payroll processing, ideally with exposure to Italian payroll legislation * Fluency in Italian and English, written and spoken * A strong numerical and accounting-oriented mindset * Good Excel skills, including confidence working with formulas and payroll-related data * Experience working with payroll systems; SAP or Zucchetti knowledge is a plus * Strong communication skills and confidence working with remote stakeholders * High attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance * Good planning, time management, and organizational skills * Analytical thinking, problem solving, and a proactive approach * Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team * A Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field is a plus Why join Ericsson?At Ericsson, you´ll have an outstanding opportunity.
