HealthcarePhysician

We are seeking an accomplished National Medical Director to lead clinical strategy and drive measurable improvements in healthcare outcomes for Medicare patients. In this fully remote, full-time leadership role, you will take ownership of clinical performance across the patient population, focusing on preventing avoidable hospitalizations, emergency room visits, falls, and functional decline. Applying a comprehensive geriatric approach, you will identify the underlying factors affecting patients' health and develop scalable programs that address their needs. You will work closely with clinicians, care advocates, operations, and technology teams to translate clinical insights into practical care protocols. This is a high-autonomy opportunity for a decisive medical leader who thrives in fast-moving environments and is motivated by measurable patient impact. You will also help shape clinical standards and ensure technology-enabled care remains safe, effective, and compliant.

  • Define and own key clinical outcome metrics, including hospital readmissions, emergency room utilization, and patient falls.

  • Establish measurable performance targets, develop improvement strategies, and report clinical results on a weekly basis.

  • Design root-cause intervention programs using the geriatric 5Ms framework: Mind, Mobility, Medications, Multicomplexity, and Matters Most.

  • Develop initiatives addressing polypharmacy, cognitive decline, frailty, and preventable hospital admissions.

  • Rapidly launch, evaluate, refine, and scale clinical programs based on measurable results.

  • Translate successful interventions into standardized protocols for clinicians and Care Advocates to implement consistently.

  • Establish clinical standards for patient visits, care plans, and documentation.

  • Review and approve clinical content within the organization's products, including AI-assisted workflows, ensuring appropriate clinical safeguards.

  • Partner with operations and billing teams to ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with CMS requirements.

  • Represent the organization's clinical perspective in discussions with healthcare payers and regulatory stakeholders.

  • Take ownership of clinical challenges, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive solutions with urgency and accountability.
