As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Diagnostics in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide welcoming customer service. • →Provide customer service to patrons, visitors, and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• →Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document and report observations in accordance with site procedures.
• →Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• →Monitor access points and observe activity within the location, assisting with the orderly flow of customers and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• →Support a welcoming retail environment by communicating professionally with customers and employees while following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
