Project accounting and supply chain meet at the purchase order. A requisition on a project-driven PO starts in Procurement, lands in Project Costing as a commitment, and ends up in Fixed Assets, Billing, or the General Ledger. One owner for both workstreams keeps that flow intact at the handoff.

You will run the supply chain and Projects functional workstreams day to day on Oracle Cloud ERP/SCM implementation and support engagements. You lead the workshops, make configuration decisions within the architecture, and carry the design from Blueprint through go-live. The client's process owners and project accountants work with you every day.

Responsibilities

~2 min read
  • →Lead requirements and design workshops for assigned SCM modules and for Oracle Cloud PPM, driving fit/gap decisions to documented, signed-off designs.
  • →Perform hands-on configuration of Oracle Cloud SCM modules in line with the solution architecture.
  • →Perform hands-on configuration of Oracle Cloud PPM: Project Foundation, Project Costing, Project Billing and Contracts, Project Budgets and Forecasts, and Capital Projects.
  • →Design project structures, project types, expenditure types, burden schedules, and transaction controls aligned to the client's operating and reporting model.
  • →Own the integration points between the two workstreams: project-driven procurement (requisition and PO costing), project-specific inventory and manufacturing, labor cost distribution, capitalization to Fixed Assets, and revenue and billing flows to AR and GL.
  • →Conduct fit/gap analysis and propose configuration-first solutions before extensions or workarounds.
  • →Author and maintain functional design documents (FDDs), configuration workbooks, and process flows to SC&H documentation standards.
  • →Define master data and conversion requirements: items, suppliers, sourcing rules, and on-hand balances for SCM; projects, tasks, budgets, commitments, and historical costs for PPM. Validate converted data each mock cycle.
  • →Build test scenarios and lead SIT and UAT cycles for both workstreams, including defect triage and retest management.
  • →Deliver train-the-trainer sessions for supply chain users, project accountants, project managers, and billing teams; support development of end-user training materials and job aids.
  • →Manage day-to-day priorities of supply chain and project analysts, reviewing their work and developing their skills.
  • →Support cutover execution, hypercare, and production support, stabilizing supply chain operations and project accounting and billing after go-live.
  • 6+ years of supply chain functional experience and 5+ years of Oracle Projects functional experience, with at least 2 full-lifecycle Oracle Cloud (Fusion) SCM implementations and at least 2 full-lifecycle Oracle Cloud PPM implementations.
  • Hands-on SCM configuration expertise in at least two of: Inventory Management, Procurement, Order Management, Manufacturing, Planning, or Cost Management.
  • Hands-on PPM configuration expertise across Project Costing and at least one of: Project Billing and Contracts, Project Budgets and Forecasts, or Capital Projects/CIP capitalization.
  • Strong working knowledge of procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, and inventory control.
  • Strong command of project accounting concepts: cost collection, burdening, commitments, budgetary control, revenue recognition methods, and capitalization.
  • Working knowledge of how PPM touches Procurement, Payables, Fixed Assets, Receivables, and General Ledger, including Subledger Accounting (SLA) behavior for project transactions.
  • Experience writing high-quality functional documentation (FDDs, test scripts, configuration workbooks) and facilitating workshops with process owners, finance, and PMO stakeholders.
  • Experience leading or executing SIT/UAT test cycles with structured defect management.
