UX Engineer, API and Data Delivery Team

The Opportunity

This is a critical and exciting time at Enigma. We are hearing from repeated customers that our product is creating tremendous value for them and is aligned perfectly with their needs. This creates an urgent need to showcase the power of our small business data as we scale our sales and marketing initiatives.

We are looking for an experienced fullstack UX Engineer to join our API & Data Delivery team. You will play a central role in designing and building the front-end systems that deliver rich interactions with our data and directly accelerate our sales process, as well as contributing to the back-end systems and API that power the front-end experience.

As a UX Engineer on the API & Data Delivery team, you’ll collaborate with talented engineers, designers, product managers, and data scientists to bring our small business data to life. Your team will be responsible for developing and maintaining Enigma's website, documentation, and console application. Your success will be defined by the quality of the software you create and the user experiences you craft.

• →Collaborates with engineers, designers, and product managers to create seamless user experiences that guide customers from discovery to evaluation to purchase
• →Takes pride in writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code (React on the front-end, Python on the back-end)
• →Designs and builds web systems end-to-end, from AWS infrastructure to frontend development and everything in between
• →Excels in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment, contributing to the company’s overall success
• →Has a passion for leveraging data to create meaningful, real-world impact

• Technical Challenges: You’ll work with a wide range of technologies to craft engaging customer experiences with low maintenance costs, all while supporting a rapidly evolving product
• Versatility: This role will require you to think like a software engineer, a product designer, and a data scientist, balancing different perspectives to deliver value
• Direct Impact: The user experiences you build will directly shape customer perceptions of the product’s value and accelerate the sales cycle

• 4+ years of experience in software engineering (with at least 2 years in a full-stack role)
• Enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams (product managers, designers, and data scientists) to create impactful user experiences
• Is motivated by the opportunity to work with data and influence real-world outcomes

• Have experience building web applications for data-driven products

Salary Range: $160,000-$210,000

A note on salary ranges: we pride ourselves on paying competitively for our size and industry. Salary is one piece of a total Enigma compensation package that includes additional benefits and opportunities. All of our compensation packages include equity because we believe 100% of Enigma employees should have the option to purchase ownership in the company and benefit from the value we’re creating together.
