Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented software engineering intern to join our team! In this role you will get to work alongside hardware and software engineers developing ground-based directed energy systems.

Responsibilities

→Develop software that supports ground-based directed energy systems, working alongside experienced software and hardware engineers.
→Collaborate with hardware engineers, technicians, and field support representatives to understand requirements and solve technical challenges.
→Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, code reviews, and other team activities.
→Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code using software engineering best practices.
→Test and debug software, investigate issues, and help improve reliability and performance.
→Learn the team's development tools and workflows while contributing to hands-on engineering projects.

Pursuing a degree in one of the following disciplines: computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or software engineering.
Major GPA greater than 3.0.
Must be a US citizen.
Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.
Experience with one or more programming languages (C, C++, C#, Java, Python, Rust, etc...).
The desire to learn in a hands-on environment.

Experience with software version control tools, preferably git.
Experience working in an agile environment.
An understanding of object-oriented design principles and applying them to develop reliable and maintainable software.

Salary Range: $22.93 - $40.14
