Role Purpose

The Product Manager, Rex Cirrus8 owns product strategy, roadmap and delivery across three of Cirrus8's most complex and commercially significant workstreams: AI Lease Ingestion, Payment Runs and Quick Payments, and Email Communications.

Cirrus8 is used by commercial property managers and finance teams to run leases, payments and owner communications. This role turns deep customer insight into clear requirements and well-sequenced delivery, working in close partnership with engineering, design and customer-facing teams.

The role suits a product manager with a strong design background. Applying UX judgement alongside product ownership allows the role to go deeper on experience quality, design decision-making and cross-functional design leadership than a traditional product management role.

Key Responsibilities

AI Lease Ingestion

  • Define and own the roadmap for AI lease ingestion, from initial data extraction through to property manager review, confirmation and downstream workflow automation.
  • Lead discovery with property managers to understand the critical lease data points, common errors and trust thresholds required for AI-assisted capture to be viable.
  • Work with engineering to shape the data model for structured lease terms, so captured data can reliably trigger automated workflows and date-based reminders.
  • Define product requirements and acceptance criteria for AI extraction accuracy, human review interfaces and correction flows.
  • Prioritise the backlog and make trade-off decisions between speed, accuracy and property manager control.
  • Apply design thinking to the review experience so it builds trust in AI outputs without creating friction.

Payment Runs and Quick Payments

  • Own the roadmap for Payment Runs and Quick Payments, with a clear direction toward a unified, reliable and automated payment experience.
  • Lead stakeholder discovery with property managers and finance users to understand current pain points, failure modes and required safeguards.
  • Define requirements for a consolidated Quick Payment flow that replaces the current property-by-property process.
  • Drive the design and delivery of safe-by-default payment controls, including protections against management fees being inadvertently excluded at month end.
  • Own the product vision for the automated post-payment process, covering bank file generation, financial approver workflows and owner communications within the payment run.
  • Manage backlog and sprint priorities, balancing complexity, risk and incremental delivery value across a financially sensitive workflow.

Email Communications

  • Act as product lead for the email communications workstream, in close partnership with the Automation and Communication Centre team.
  • Define how email functionality within Cirrus8 will evolve under the new communications architecture, and manage the transition plan.
  • Own the end-to-end product vision for the new Cirrus8 email experience, covering configuration, template management, delivery and tracking.
  • Sequence the backlog across multiple teams so delivery remains coherent and the user experience stays consistent.
  • Coordinate with support and customer-facing teams on rollout, documentation and adoption of new email capabilities.

Product Strategy and Roadmap

  • Own the product strategy, roadmap and backlog across all three focus areas, making prioritisation decisions that reflect customer value, technical feasibility and business impact.
  • Define clear problem statements and opportunity briefs before committing to solutions.
  • Contribute to broader Cirrus8 product strategy and roadmap discussions with a grounded, evidence-based perspective.
  • Monitor product performance and customer outcomes after delivery, using data and qualitative feedback to inform iteration.

Discovery and Customer Insight

  • Lead discovery activities, including user interviews, contextual inquiries and workflow analysis, to understand property manager needs and pain points.
  • Synthesise research into product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria that engineering teams can confidently deliver against.
  • Maintain strong domain knowledge of commercial property management and how Cirrus8 customers run their businesses.

Delivery and Cross-functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with engineering leads to drive delivery, manage trade-offs and keep priorities clear for the team.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions to build alignment across product, engineering and customer-facing teams.
  • Define complex product behaviours, edge cases and acceptance criteria, and iterate with engineering to reach robust outcomes.
  • Work within an agile, OKR-driven environment, participating in sprint ceremonies and contributing to team health and velocity.

Design Contribution

  • Apply UX and design expertise to product decisions to raise the quality of experience outcomes.
  • Lead or contribute to prototyping and experience definition where design depth is needed to resolve ambiguity or reduce delivery risk.
  • Contribute to the Rexlabs Design System where the workstreams require new patterns or components.
  • Provide design guidance to support and marketing teams on the rollout and adoption of delivered features.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a product manager in a B2B SaaS environment, owning the roadmap and backlog for complex workflows.
  • A background in product or UX design, with demonstrated use of design thinking, prototyping and experience definition in product decisions.
  • Experience writing product requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for engineering teams in an agile delivery model.
  • Strong discovery skills, including user interviews, contextual inquiry and workflow analysis.
  • Experience with financially sensitive workflows such as payments, billing or reconciliation is highly regarded.
  • Experience shaping AI-assisted or automation features, including accuracy thresholds and human review flows, is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with commercial property management or proptech is an advantage.
  • Comfort working with OKRs and using data and customer feedback to guide prioritisation.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills across product, engineering and customer-facing teams.

Success in this Role Looks Like

  • AI lease ingestion that property managers trust, with extraction accuracy and review flows that reduce manual data entry.
  • A consolidated, safe-by-default payment experience with fewer month-end errors, such as excluded management fees.
  • A smooth transition of Cirrus8 email functionality to the new communications architecture, with strong customer adoption.
  • Clear, evidence-based roadmaps and backlogs that engineering teams deliver against with confidence.
  • Strong working relationships across product, engineering, support and customer-facing teams.
  • Measurable improvement in customer outcomes across the three workstreams after delivery.
