About the Role

~1 min read

You lead commerce and enterprise technology: our Shopify storefronts, NetSuite, and the integrations that connect them to Amazon, wholesale, retail stores and 3PLs. You own the systems and the data underneath, while Operations and Finance own the business rules and what done means. You work with the Co-CEOs, the executive team, and Operations, Finance, Ecommerce, Client Experience and Retail, and you manage the development partner and systems vendors. IT support and cybersecurity stay with the current IT team.

You work closely with the Director, AI, Agents & Data Intelligence, whose agents and insights run on the systems you own.

Moj Mahdara is an entrepreneur and investor. She is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Kinship Ventures, the venture platform she launched alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, and the founder of Trolley. Before Kinship, Moj was CEO of Beautycon Media, the global festival and media company built at the intersection of beauty and pop culture.

Trolley is a fast-growing creative operations company delivering high-impact digital and marketing solutions. We work with high-profile clients and founder-led brands to strategize, produce and optimize content that drives engagement, brand visibility and business growth. Our team combines strategy, design, production and performance analysis, and we work AI-first. We are a fast-moving, collaborative remote team that values respect, teamwork and open communication.

Responsibilities

  • →Shopify storefronts, including checkout, apps, performance, uptime and releases, with the development partner held to clear scope, priorities and budget.
  • →Launch readiness for peak periods, product drops and campaigns, with site performance standards, incident triage and published root-cause reviews.
  • →Content management, product information, on-site search, tracking tags and email/SMS integrations that let editorial content launch without engineering help while protecting privacy and site speed.
  • →NetSuite and its integrations with Shopify, 3PLs, Amazon, wholesale EDI and retail POS, with exception alerts for failed orders and templates that remove most direct NetSuite access.
  • →Accurate item, cost, inventory and customer data across NetSuite, Shopify, the 3PLs and stores, so catalogs stay clean and discoverable in AI search.
  • →Store systems and cross-channel fulfillment, including point of sale, buy online pick up in store, ship-from-store, clienteling tools and reliable EDI orders, ship notices and invoices for wholesale partners.
  • →A published technology roadmap tied to business goals, one intake process for requests, and a systems and access hub; in 90 days, document every system and stabilize Shopify–NetSuite order flow.
  • →Safe controls for AI agents using our systems and data, plus Notion, SaaS contracts and renewals, and security and access standards set with the IT and cybersecurity lead.
  • Experience in ecommerce technology, business systems or enterprise applications, leading teams, vendors or systems programs at a physical consumer goods brand with DTC, retail and wholesale channels and 3PL fulfillment.
  • Deep Shopify Plus and hands-on NetSuite expertise across orders, inventory, purchasing and the general ledger, plus Celigo or similar integration platforms, EDI, 3PL integrations, Amazon Seller Central, headless content management and search tools, and high-traffic launches.
  • Hands-on delivery: you configure, troubleshoot, write specs and review a partner's code, and you turn business needs into clear requirements and delivery dates.
  • Strong project management, working knowledge of accounting and inventory flows, plain-language explanation of technical tradeoffs, cost-consciousness, and discretion with customer, payment and financial data.
  • Advanced written and spoken English.
  • Advanced use of AI in your daily work, including familiarity with AI tools and APIs in commerce and operations.
