Warehouse Porter - Full-Time

The Staff Pad has partnered with a leading warehousing and logistics organization in Brooklyn, NY and we are looking to hire an experienced and dependable Warehouse Porter for keeping warehouse facilities and surrounding properties clean, safe, and organized. In this role you will maintain clean and organized warehouse spaces by cleaning floors and racks, managing waste and recycling, breaking down crates and boxes, and assisting with minor maintenance, exterior cleanup, and general warehouse operations Schedule: Full-Time What You’ll Do Key Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse floors, racking, and surrounding areas Dismantle crates and operate designated equipment to compact cardboard Gather, sort, and dispose of waste, recycling, and excess materials Report facility maintenance concerns and communicate supply needs to management Sweep and clear debris from parking areas, walkways, and exterior spaces Identify and clear potential safety hazards to keep outdoor areas accessible and safe Assist with arranging, organizing, and maintaining warehouse materials Handle cleaning agents, sanitizing solutions, and flammable substances, including paint, acetone, and fuel, in accordance with safety procedures Provide general support to the Warehouse Team and complete additional duties as assigned by the Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager, or General Manager Uphold OSHA standards and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Work Environment and Physical Demands Work 50% indoors and 50% outdoors in varying weather conditions Lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 150 lbs using carts or dollies Frequently stand, walk, bend, and perform manual handling and cleaning tasks Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Operate cleaning equipment, compactors, and manual tools What We Are Looking For Education and Experience High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of custodial or porter experience Warehouse or logistics experience preferred Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment Familiarity with OSHA standards and workplace safety practices Additional Skills and Attributes Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Effective communication and ability to follow instructions Professional, dependable, and team-oriented Ability to adapt to a fast-paced work environment Join a growing warehousing and logistics team where your work makes a daily difference in maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient operation.
