Business Analyst – Investments| Western Cape | 12- month contract

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our client's team within the Asset Management / Investment Management space on a 12-month contract.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on Business Analyst who enjoys working at the intersection of business, systems and technology, translating complex business needs into practical solutions and supporting delivery from requirements through to implementation.

• →Engage with business stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges and objectives.
• →Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions, workshops and stakeholder discussions.
• →Analyse and document current and future-state business processes.
• →Translate business requirements into detailed functional and system requirements.
• →Analyse existing systems, applications, workflows and business processes.
• →Identify system, process and functional gaps and recommend appropriate solutions.
• →Analyse system dependencies, integrations, interfaces and data flows.
• →Document business rules, workflows, use cases, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• →Collaborate with developers, architects, testers and technical teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• →Conduct gap, impact and root-cause analysis.
• →Support solution design, SIT and UAT.
• →Validate delivered functionality against agreed requirements and assist with defect resolution.

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis or a similar role.
• Strong Business Analysis and Systems Analysis capabilities.
• Proven experience within Asset Management, Investment Management or a closely related investment environment.
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
• Experience defining functional and system requirements.
• Business process analysis and process mapping experience.
• Experience conducting gap and impact analysis.
• Exposure to systems integration, interfaces and data flows.
• Experience working with both business and technical stakeholders.
• Good understanding of the technology and software delivery lifecycle.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.

• SQL and data analysis
• Systems integration and interface analysis
• Investment / Asset Management platforms
• Agile / Scrum methodologies
• Jira and Confluence
• Microsoft Visio or other process-modelling tools
• System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
• Relevant Business Analysis qualifications or certifications

You are an analytical, structured and solutions-focused professional who can confidently engage with both business and technical teams.

You understand how business processes, systems, data and technology work together, and can investigate complex problems, identify gaps, define clear requirements and support the delivery of effective technology solutions.
