Principal Reverse Engineering/Vulnerability Research Engineer

Join a mission-driven Security Research team working on complex cybersecurity challenges supporting national security and critical digital operations. In this principal-level role, you will uncover vulnerabilities across diverse systems through advanced reverse engineering and security analysis. You’ll turn discoveries into actionable findings, proof-of-concept exploits, and operational capabilities. The position combines deep technical research with tool development, project leadership, and mentorship. You’ll collaborate with experienced researchers and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Extensive experience in reverse engineering and static and dynamic analysis.

• Strong familiarity with multiple vulnerability classes and exploitation techniques.

• Proficiency with security analysis tools, including disassemblers, debuggers, fuzzers, emulators, and related technologies.

• Demonstrated ability to develop proof-of-concept exploits for identified vulnerabilities.

• Experience researching and bypassing modern security mechanisms and exploit mitigations.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

• Experience leading vulnerability research projects and managing small to medium-sized teams.

• Ability to independently initiate, plan, and advance research projects through completion.

• Compensation: National salary range of $145,900–$248,000 USD. Actual compensation may vary based on location, applicable government contract labor categories and wage rates, experience, skills, education, certifications, and role scope. The posted range does not guarantee a specific offer.
