IT Help Desk

RQ Construction is seeking an IT Help Desk to join our team located in the Virginia Beach, Virginia office. This position is responsible for providing frontline technical support for all company employees, offices, and project sites. This position is responsible for maintaining user productivity by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues while ensuring compliance with company and DoD cybersecurity standards. The role includes deploying and maintaining IT equipment, managing the ticketing system, assisting with new hire onboarding, and supporting office and jobsite setups. The technician works collaboratively with IT team members, project teams, and vendors to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient technology services across the organization.

We are a full-service Design-Build company. We specialize in fast-track projects in new commercial construction for both public and private clients, with a primary focus in the Department of Defense market.

Compensation: $29.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience

• A high school diploma or GED is the minimum formal education required for this position.
• Three or more years hands-on experience supporting end users, troubleshooting hardware and software, and managing IT devices and systems in a corporate environment.
• Relevant industry certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications) strongly preferred.
• Previous exposure supporting users in construction, engineering, or design preferred.
