JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: Y-XX-3547594 Profession: Midwife Specialty: Midwife Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Beaumont, TX Service Setting: Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical + Call Coverage Period: Dec 14, 2026 – Mar 15, 2027 On-Call Shift Schedule: 4–8 call shifts per month; 12-hour or 24-hour call shifts available PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Neonates, Adults (OB patients) Rounding: Postpartum rounding Case Mix: Obstetrics, Postpartum, OB Triage FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic Specialty Backup Available: 24/7 Emergency Medicine coverage, 24/7 Anesthesiology coverage, In-house OB/GYN physician support, Family Medicine physicians with obstetrics experience REQUIRED PROCEDURES Labor and Delivery Management Spontaneous Vaginal Deliveries OB Triage Evaluations Postpartum Care and Rounding Newborn Assessments First Assist during C-sections JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active Texas RN and APRN licenses Board: Active AMCB certification (Certified Nurse Midwife) Certifications: NRP, BLS, Fetal Monitoring Certification Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a hospital-based setting managing intrapartum, postpartum, OB triage, and first assist Other Qualifications: First Assist experience required; Obstetric Ultrasound, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, and Lactation Consultant preferred DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Manage labor and delivery, including coaching patients and performing spontaneous vaginal deliveries Conduct OB triage evaluations for patients with labor symptoms, rupture of membranes, or pregnancy-related complications Provide postpartum care and rounding, and perform newborn assessments Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary team members to ensure high-quality patient care Participate in a practice supporting approximately 2,000 annual deliveries and document patient encounters using Epic EMR
