Location: Brazil (BR) - Sao Paulo - INDAIATUBA Function: Product Engineering (CA) Title: Senior Technical Lead - Systems and Software Engineering - Indaiatuba/SP - 125575 ## About The Role As a Senior Technical Lead - Systems and Software Engineering at John Deere, based in our Research & Development Center in Indaiatuba/SP, you will lead the development of innovative embedded systems and software solutions for intelligent agricultural equipment. You will combine technical leadership, project execution, and people development while working closely with products, customers, and global engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions that solve real-world challenges. ## Main Resposibilities * Lead embedded systems and software projects from concept through integration, validation, release, and product support. * Provide technical direction and serve as a reference for architecture, design, implementation, and complex problem solving. * Lead translation of customer and product needs into clear requirements, interfaces, technical solutions, and verification strategies. * Coordinate activities across software, electronics, systems, verification, product engineering, and global teams, managing dependencies, risks, and technical issues. * Maintain a hands-on role in design reviews, implementation, integration, testing, field activities, and root cause analysis. * Mentor engineers, provide actionable feedback, share knowledge, and strengthen team capability and ownership. * Leverage AI throughout the engineering lifecycle to improve analysis, development, testing, reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing, while validating outputs and protecting company information. * Promote engineering quality through traceability, maintainability, automated verification, technical reviews, and continuous improvement. * Stay close to customers and products through machine testing, field validation, and other hands-on product activities. ## What Skills You Need * Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field. * Availability to work from the Indaiatuba office four days per week as part of a hybrid schedule. * Strong experience in software engineering or complex software-intensive systems. * Experience leading technical projects, major product features, or engineering teams. * Experience in systems engineering, including requirements, architecture, interfaces, integration, and verification. * Ability to bring structure to ambiguous situations, make sound decisions, and deliver results with limited supervision. * Hands-on troubleshooting experience involving software, hardware, systems, and test environments. * Experience mentoring engineers and influencing teams without formal authority. * Strong communication skills, advanced English proficiency, and effective collaboration with global and cross-functional teams. * Ability and willingness to learn quickly and work beyond your current area of expertise. * Availability to travel approximately 15% of the time. ## What Makes You Stand Out * Experience with C/C++, Python, RTOS, Linux, model-based development (MBD), or embedded communication technologies such as CAN, ISOBUS, Ethernet, or Bluetooth. * Knowledge of ASPICE, V-Model, functional safety, ISO 25119, CI/CD, test automation, or requirements traceability. * Practical experience using AI assistants, automation, or agent-based engineering workflows. * Hands-on experience with electronics debugging, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) systems, machine testing, or field validation. ### Our Main Benefits * Variable compensation * Health Insurance * Dental Plan * Life Insurance * Private Pension Plan * Vision Care Benefit * Vaccination reimbursement * Corporate University * TotalPass * Depending on the location, on-site cafeteria, meal voucher, or food allowance * Pharmacy assistance * And more ### Our Recruitment Process The selection process begins with your application.
