Requirements

5+ years of experience working with individuals who have high behaviors (biting, hitting, kicking).
5+ years of experience responding to crisis situations and applying de-escalation and restraint techniques.
5+ years of experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and chronic medical conditions.
5+ years of experience implementing Positive Support Strategies and/or behavior management techniques.
Strong communication and documentation skills to write narratives in grammatically correct sentences.
Ability to interpret behavioral trends; experience with person-centered thinking and planning preferred.
Judgment and decision-making skills to handle crisis situations and day-to-day events.
Demonstrable working knowledge of vulnerable adult laws, 245D statutes, and other pertinent state regulations applicable to HCBS.
Ability to pass background check clearance from MN Department of Human Services.
Valid driver’s license, a working vehicle, and a clean driving record.
Good attendance and willingness to be adaptable.
