We are offering the opportunity for a dynamic and engaging Business Unit Risk leader to join Charles Schwab Premier Bank’s Digital Assets team offering spot crypto trading for our clients. This spot crypto product offer will complement an existing extensive range of brokerage and banking products, serving a critical role in maintaining Schwab’s place as a leading financial services firm, providing accessibility and award-winning education on cutting-edge products and services for our clients.

This role will be responsible for conducting active monitoring of various risk activities which span across various business units in the Company. Responsibilities will include hands on risk and control development, reporting and administration, ongoing vendor oversight and customer complaint monitoring, regulatory compliance and driving risk accountability across the first line in a matrixed environment.

You will be expected to perform business-as-usual project and operational activities that will provide key input into Charles Schwab Premier Bank’s evolving and maturing digital assets and spot crypto offering. You will contribute towards building and improving the overarching strategies and policies to effectively safeguard the Company and our clients. This individual is expected to possess and apply subject matter expertise to impact governance, oversight, policy and process development.

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a risk management practitioner, with increasingresponsibility for deliverables and projects; preferably in digital assets and/or highlyregulated banking entities.• Hands-on experience working in an enterprise risk or operations program, along with current working experince with Schwab systems and processes• Analyzes issues objectively, thinking through potential impacts and out of the box thinkingto manage risks appropriately.• Understanding of applicable regulatory requirements/laws related to digital assets andspot crypto offerings.• Ability to effectively communicate with business and executive audiences, both oral andwritten is required.

• Experience in gathering requirements, documenting and assessing information forimplementing risk controls is required• Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, influencing, prioritization, decisionmakingand conflict resolution skills• Strong initiative; self-starter; self-directed; ability to multi-task• Experience in project planning, meeting facilitation for multiple groups and projects ispreferred• Personally, and professionally aligned with Schwab's vision and values, and a stronginterest in financial services.• Bachelor’s degree required. Graduate level experience a plus
